About the Event

In recognition of the small business community’s contribution to the American economy and society, the President of the United States designates one week each year as National Small Business Week. Small Business Week 2012 will be celebrated the week of May 20, 2012. Leading up to National Small Business Week the U.S. Small Business Administration, in conjunction with public - and private-sector small business supporters, hosts special events at the local and state levels to honor and present awards to the nation’s entrepreneurs and those who support and champion small business. Many of the award winners from those local and state events will be invited to Washington, D.C. for SBW ‘12 — Celebrating National Small Business Weeky.

The award winners of the Richmond District Office will be honored at the 2012 Virginia Small Business Awards Luncheon on May 18, 2012 at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. The leading Virginia SBA Lenders, Small Business Champions, and Small Business Person of the Year will be honored at the event.
